Time flies
Hello to you all!
It is true - time flies and my Michelin star internship has time only for one more month and it will be over. And it's making me so sad because will be really hard for me to leave this everything what I got here for this five amusing month. I am honestly can say that it is the best time in my life that I am spending here, on Tenerife, in M. B. ... But I still have time to keep doing what I am doing, trying my best at work and enjoying life. With each day I understand and learn more without non-stop. And it is not only about the kitchen but about life in general. As I can feel Spanish people is a really good example to learn from them how to live and be happy.
So, I am still in the fish section but I am trying to don't stay in one place but doing something new. Like one time I was learning how to do ravioli and pasta for children with my chef from fish. Other time I was learning how to do cinnamon bread with chef from production. Another time I am helping chef of starters to do butters for service... And I am very grateful to them all that they give the opportunity to study, to do something new. Even when there is no time, they will never say no, on the contrary, they will try to explain everything as best and help as respects the desire to learn. Also, I want to say that I'm grateful to one of them because he always says: "First of all, think of yourself because you're here to study." While listening to it, I try to do as many questions as possible and get answers to all of them.
Also, can be good to say that our team is so crazy, with crazy ideas and lifestyle. Despite the fact that they are so tired they can enjoy life and always invent something interesting. For example, on this Wednesday we were playing football in the morning before work. It was so good and does not matter that the next day everyone's legs were hurting so much. Anyway, we had a good time.
Also, M. B. has happy news. On November 22, Michelin guide 2018 will do some presentation and taste the creations of the four stars’ restaurants of Tenerife including M. B. It is a pity for me that I will not be able to be present there but I can be happy because some of my colleagues from the institute can be a part of team workers for this big event.
I will finish my post saying that my days off are going well, I am resting before new week which will be not so easy. Tomorrow we have really important people in the kitchen - Martín Berasategui. I am so happy that I got a chance to see him in real. About it in next post. Then will be soon.
